Dan Flynn, MA, Indiana Area Director
Dan Flynn, MA, is the Indiana Area Director of CMDA. Dan seeks to win, build, and send Christian Healthcare professionals to reach the lost in our community and our world. He spends his energy in student ministry at IU School of Medicine (including regional campuses), IU School of Dentistry, and Marian Osteopathic School of Medicine. Dan, along with his wife Paula, served 35 years with Campus Crusade for Christ/Cru.

Betty Treese, MD, Associate CMDA Staff
“Doctor Betty” served the Lord for 30 years as a missionary in Irian Jaya, India, and Nepal. Now, as CMDA Associate staff, she invests her time discipling medical students in Indianapolis, at IUSM and Marian Osteopathic School of Medicine. Known for her sincere, winsome smile, Betty is beloved by all who work with her. She and her husband, Donn, also serve with the Navigators International Ministry.

Jonathan Spenn, DMD, National Dental Missions Mobilizer for CMDA
Jonathan Spenn, DMD, is the National “Missions Mobilizer” for CMDA. Originally from Dunnellon, FL, Jonathan relocated to Indiana to energize CMDA’s Midwest dental ministry. His vast experience providing dental care to the needy domestically and internationally has taken him to 18 different countries in his 15 years as a dentist. Jon is passionate about mentoring students and dental missions.

Darrell Davidson, MD, PhD
Darrell Davidson, MD, serves as the faculty sponsor of CMDA’s Student Chapter at Indiana University Medical School Campus.

Mark Frieje, MD, Medical Chair
Mark R. Freije, MD, is a family medicine doctor at Ascension St. Vincent in Carmel, Indiana. He spent several years as a physician at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya, Africa, where he held various clinical positions. Because of his outreach service, he has a special interest in travel medicine.

Jeff Ginther, MD FACS
Jeff Ginther, MD is a reconstructive orthopedic surgery specialist at Rush Memorial Hospital in Rushville, IN. He enjoys mentoring students and has been on several mission trips.

Libby Ginther, MBA Side by Side Sponsor
Women who are married to healthcare providers need the encouragement and mentoring of others who are on this journey, too. Side by Side is a CMDA ministry geared to this unique audience.

Gaylen Kelton, MD FAAFP
Gaylen Kelton is an experienced Professor of Clinical Family Medicine with a demonstrated history of working in Travel Medicine. He has taken many international medical service trips to multiple countries. Gaylen is skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Curriculum Development, and recently clinically active as a Riverview Health hospitalist.

Andy Koon, MD FACP
Dr. Andy Koon, MD is a practicing Internal Medicine Physician and Hospitalist at Riverview Health. Andy has enjoyed mentoring students on short term medical missions trips with Global Health Outreach (GHO). GHO is the short term medical missions ministry of CMDA.

Alexandria McDow, MD FACS
Alexandria McDow, MD FACS is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine and serves as the Associate Director of the General Surgery Residency Program. She specializes in endocrine surgery and has a passion for teaching and mentoring residents and students.

Scott Pittman, MD
Dr. Scott Pittman is a Colon and Rectal Surgeon who regularly goes on missions trips and enjoys teaching students and residents.

Dr. CR Powell, MD
Dr. CR Powell is an Associate Professor of Urology at Indiana University School of Medicine. He has a passion for mentoring students and helps to facilitate the connection of 3rd and 4th year medical students to ministry activities in Central Indiana CMDA.

Frederick J. Rescorla, MD
Dr. Rescorla is a Professor and Division Director of Surgery at Riley Hospital for Children. He has developed an active clinical practice focused on minimally invasive surgery and surgical oncology. He and his wife, Michelle, minister to residents and fellows on the IU campus.

Peter Schilt, MD, MBA Treasurer
Dr. Peter Schilt, MD is an ear, nose, and throat specialist at Ascension St. Vincent in Anderson, Carmel, Elwood, and Fishers, IN. He is board-certified in otolaryngology, and head and neck surgery. He enjoys mentoring students and has been on several mission trips.
