Central Indiana CMDA had the great opportunity to serve with Global Health Outreach in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic March 10-18, 2012. We were able to share the love of Christ through medical care to men and women prisoners in the cities of Bani and Najayo. Oasis Church, our national partner, has been involved with prison ministry for many years and its members are actively engaged in this unique outreach. During our week of service we saw over 150 patients a day and provided them with eyeglasses, dental and medical care. **Over 100 of the prisoners made a decision to follow Christ for the first time and many more were encouraged in their faith!
Although our team was in the Dominican Republic for only a short time, we left knowing that Oasis church will continue to serve the needs of this vulnerable group. What a tremendous example of Mathew 25 this church was to us!
We are grateful and humble to have had the opportunity to serve with them.
